The Marysville Charter Academy for the Arts (MCAA) is a college preparatory, secondary school whose curriculum emphasizes instruction in the literary, visual, and performing arts. Students receive instruction in the core subject areas as well as specialized instruction in a wide variety of the arts. Instruction in the core subject areas is primarily interdisciplinary, thematic, and integrates the arts whenever feasible. MCAA fosters a culture of caring and acceptance while providing a positive environment that promotes high expectations and character development.

Who We Are

Marysville Charter Academy for the Arts is a California Distinguished School, fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. MCAA has been recognized by U.S. News and World Report as one of the top high schools in the country for the past seven years.

What's Happening

From the MCAA Music Committee:

For those of you that missed last night's meeting, we are trying to get a total amount attending the Great America trip in April. If your student is planning on attending, please fill out the contract for the trip so we can figure out the cost per student. Please turn in completed contracts to either Ms. Brown or Mr. Harmon.


Also, we are collecting gift cards to do a opportunity drawing basket for music week. If you are able to donate gift cards that would be awesome. If you  are ordering the gift cards  through the PTSA scrip program, they need to be ordered by Nov 15th.

MCAA's PTSA would like all parents to encourage their students to participate in the current "Reflections Arts and Recognition Program." Entry's can be made in Photography, Dance, Film, Music, Visual Art, and Literature. See the details here: Reflections
