MCAA offers traditional art courses designed to allow students to explore a variety of techniques, media, and theories, with emphasis on the traditional elements of art, as well as the principles of design. Painting and Drawing techniques are taught progressively in Art 1, 2, 3, and 4. Digital (2D) techniques are studied in the Photography classes and a new 3D art class is being offered beginning in the 2018-19 school year. Advanced Placement Studio Art is offered as well for accomplished students to develop portfolios in Drawing, 2D, and 3D art.

MCAA also offers graphic arts courses to exemplify art in a digital medium. Students can learn a variety of programs from the Adobe Creative Suite, as well as create graphic projects for use around our school.
